I think doomerism is just. A self fulfilling prophecy. It’s really hard to get yourself out of once you set into it. It’s like when you’re panicked and your brain isn’t allowing you to see reason. It sucks. It’s so easy to fall into and so hard to leave it. It hurts me to see people embrace it
It's kinda funny how every third political post on has some variation of "oh so you think there's going to be elections how cute" in the replies while the daily news is of Republicans getting boatraced in elections, manufacturing the reality you desire to be outraged about isn't just a rw phenomenon
