Got asked by a friend if I listen to Spotify while I work. Two reasons not to... 1) d/Deaf so most music is a no. 2) Given the man behind it is investing in A.I killing machines, no thanks. - plus they treat musco's terribly & the creator is a dick.

I had been working through an idea for a short story or a graphic novel. I bounced the idea off an old, trusted friend & he said, 'You know it would make a great Doctor Who story.'

As much as I enjoy @jamesgunn.bsky.social output, I can't get excited by the new DC production slate. I enjoyed the Swampthing series & Matt Ryan as JC can't be topped so I hope they find room for them. Superman always bores me & his cousin will never be played by anyone as good as Helen Slater.

There must be something wrong with me, when an official calls 'for an off the record chat' & uses the words 'filth & frivolity' in the same sentence I'm not sure you are supposed to get a tingly spine feeling.

Weird, stepping away from a media you love, hanging up your hat on projects you cherished & saying 'adios' should be on your terms. I never wanted my disability to be part of a reason, yet it has been. You never really say goodbye though, just 'see you down the line'.

I loved going to the cinema but as my hearing has degraded into deafness I find films like Batman & Black Panther become a mess because I miss so much of the dialogue. Lipreading only helps if you can see the mouth, cinema's need to use subtitling more, or the d/Deaf have to wait for DVD release

Chatting to one of the doctors at the clinic about Marvel & DC, then movies. He said it was a shame DC films didnt have a central character linking the movies, like Marvel has Nick Fury. My view is they could have used Phantom Stranger, unfortunately the Doc hadnt a clue who I wad talking about 🤣

Tonight I got to play in a Honda hydrid at work. I enjoyed driving an electric London taxi that had been converted to a rapid response COVID team vehicle during lockdown 1+2, but the Honda takes it to another level, so quiet the motor didnt compromise my hearing aid. Shame about the price tag thou.
