With the Flowers of Algorab now out in Beta answering the where’s the intrigue question beautifully and the physical core rule book showcasing the usual quality and exquisite style of Free League I’ve had great fun running this and I think despite initial doubts it’s an excellent sequel to CtTH

Well first session down running my Adventure for Pendragon and everyone seemed to have a good time. I’m realising I’m all about the aesthetic when it comes to this fantastic game.

We've now been running Coriolis:The Great Dark for a few sessions and it's excellent. As a radical perspective Lore is what made Coriolis The Third Horizon so good. And honestly the lore of the CtGD is just as compelling. The players have not yet left The Great Ship and we've loved it all.

I ran Kult: Divinity Lost last night for the first time and I found it excellent. The setting is amazing, and the mechanics do a great job of driving narrative forward. We've found it easy to get into the flow with the assist of the Foundry module which is very comprehensive.

Have been going through the Beta for Coriolis the Great Dark. It's bloody amazing, the art and layout are on point, the rules clearly laid out and the setting is evocative. It's a very dark turn, in some ways more of a child of Alien than The Third Horizon.

I think I can run most horror style games using Vaesen. It's got the right combo of complexity and mechanics ( fear) to handle most scenes. However as an odd reflection, I think fear is to brutal for something like a Kult setting, characters would just be continuously broken.

I had an epiphany today re a game I'm writing it actually allows me to balance an internal spiritual world with external perception of piety, which is critical for the game. Looking forward to the weekend when I'll actually have time to write it up.

Just finished a Desolation Called Peace by @byzantienne.bsky.social and it was outstanding, a rich, complex story examining the nature of otherness through the lens of a truly alien species. A space opera where combat happens for the most part offscreen, so you can focus on the humans involved.

Inspired by both Psyche and Ithaca, I'm reading through Aegean by @stoogoff.com, an excellent vehicle for telling the stories of mythic Greece. Expecting to run a few sessions in Feb and March making use of Foundry. Should be grand.
