A second hand bookshop is a very wonderful thing and to find one on holiday is even better. Spend some time in there and unwind. Of course, I had to do a little painting 😁

I stood in the street in Manchester to do the sketch for this one and painted it at home. Sometimes it's overlooked as it's pretty much opposite the town hall, but this is a great building.

I've been in Vienna recently. What a delightful place to be for a few days with friends. When I got home I got the felt tips out to do this 🙂

Tuesday's painting. A delightful Robinson's pub in a lovely sunny Bollington. A beer delivery interrupted the precedings so I had use a photo to finish it 😄

Looking forward to going to Norfolk in the summer. Burnham Market is a great place to find beautiful buildings to paint 😁

Another example of the beautiful architecture we have everywhere in the UK. here's a building in Grantham just nestling in the background with its mellow bricks. Fabulous to paint 😊

Here's another example of a humdrum shop I have painted but the building (in Chester) is a delightful old structure. The contrast is what makes the picture ☺️

Painting even the most common place row of shops can be interesting if you look at the building as a whole and check out the architectural features. Just a little snapshot of every day life 😊

I just love to paint urban architecture. The history and the resonance of the people and businesses that have used the buildings are just hovering gently in the background 😁
