Great to see that students from one of our ENLIGHT partners, Uppsala University, had the opportunity to get involved in this excavation as part of an ENLIGHT+ funded project led by Dr Michelle Comber from the The School of Geography, Archaeology and Irish Studies.
Archaeologists have confirmed a ringfort overlooking Galway Bay as a settlement for rulers and nobles in Ireland’s Early Medieval period, a site with a remarkable ancient history that could date anywhere from the 5th to 12th century AD.

Over 180 doctors graduated from University of Galway with an Honours Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery, and Bachelor of Obstetrics (MB, BCh, BAO) degree.
Twelve graduates were awarded a total of 15 Final Medical Medals by the University’s College of Medicine, Nursing and Health Sciences.
