Just a reminder as #TRIO is now listed as something to eliminate in Trumps budget. They claim lack of oversight - we submit an annual budget accounting for the plans to spend each year and we submit a detailed annual performance report every December proving we are serving students!
The Trio program in college is funded by the doe to aid students who are low income or first generation college students or disabled - and we have one of the highest graduation success rates of any program. So of course they will take away all of that if they defund

I'm scared for me and our students. I work for Trio a student services counseling program in college for first generation, low income, and/or students with disabilities. Our grant is funded by the Dept of Ed. Now...They could wipe out all 1400 programs across the u.s with one budget vote. #doe #trio
