i actually don't know what happens if you choose the Refuse option in the "The Custodian's Duty" mission, and i won't until i come across a very rare instance of someone choosing that, or when we finally get to it on Ruby's (very slow in comparison) playthrough.

worth pointing out maybe but the new demo to UNBEATABLE also has all of the [white label] content included in arcade mode, so you can play to remixes I and a few friends made for the game!!

the battle theme is actually an earlier arrange of Gale which ended up being Chrono Cross's main battle theme www.youtube.com/watch?v=6fQG... i think the kick being only on the start of each measure might make it a little easier to follow its time signature vs. the CC version. i like both though

it's not heavy on music, and has mostly some light foley ambience outside of battle themes during exploration and music for dramatic passages.

i thought about making a VN engine presented in this way with the continuous prose kind of narrative and combat system it has. i would need to get someone who can actually write lol. i suppose you could implement something close enough to this in TWINE with some fancy javascript/css
