After feeding during the day—> v asleep
After feeding at night—> the most awake
Nobody told me that newborns don’t have a circadian rhythm

Last night was…decidedly less good
This was probably our best night since bringing her home and it was ALL thanks to this LC 💯
I’m seeing a lactation consultant tomorrow because breastfeeding support doesn’t have to end when you leave the hospital!

Grateful for the resource 🙏

Learned what “morphea” is today

Can’t say I learned about that in med school or have ever seen it in practice

My body is different now but we’re getting to know each other

Haven’t shared too much about this, but ~9 months ago, my dad was diagnosed with metastatic cancer

He hadn’t started systemic therapy because it was complex

He had surgery to remove the primary tumor and he got a PET recently and ALL the mets shrunk!

All good things in 2026 💯

I became an aunt to a third baby last week 😊

How lucky for my daughter to have such a close in age cousin!

I feed the baby
Husband feeds me

It works 👍

What’s so interesting to me is since I had the baby, I’ve lost my name

I’m just “mom”. I don’t think the pediatrician knows my name. Everybody I call to make appointments for her calls me “mom”

I don’t mind it but it’s fascinating
January 21, 2026 at 2:34 PM
I had a stretch of 2.5 hours of sleep tonight, which is the longest in a month

I’m still exhausted but dang did that feel better than 30 minutes of sleep
January 21, 2026 at 6:26 AM
We took the baby out of the house today for the first time to somewhere besides the pediatrician and on walks

The frigid weather + flu season are great reasons to stay hidden 🥶

As much as I tell my husband that the only difference for us with the baby is I make food and he doesn’t, sometimes it’s just mom with the magic touch to get her to sleep 😴

Jk I actually got an EOB for $46,000 for giving birth LOL

Literally just for the private room

I owe $0

Healthcare is a jokeeeee

I’ve been needing to see my derm for months but between my mom’s brain surgery and the pregnancy, it just didn’t happen

I’m seeing him tomorrow 🙏

I’ve been seeing him since I’m 9 years old so I know he’s gonna be so happy when I tell him about the baby

I can’t really tell you why breastfeeding/pumping is so tiring but it is

Maybe all the hormones

But we just did 3.5 hours straight from pumping to feeding and I feel hella drained

This growth spurt of hers best be significant

Baby may have fed every hour for the last three hours, but at least my parents are on their way with sweetgreen
January 17, 2026 at 6:54 PM
I’ll be honest- I don’t watch it but by the title, I thought The Traitors was historical fiction, but now I think it’s reality tv?

I could google it but it’s more fun guessing by context clues

It’s v kind that everyone is buying clothes for the baby, but what about clothes for my new body
