@kenwhite.bsky.social is there any weight behind the Central Park 5 filing a defamation suit against Trump?

Here's VP Harris' new ad on Trump's insult of Detroit.

"Our whole country will end up being like Detroit if she's your president."

He should be so goddamn lucky.

"The kind of mentor every student dreams of, and the kind that every student deserves" is a GREAT line.

I don't think Shapiro was the right pick, his politics are pretty eh, but he's great at a stump speech.

What's the best movie you've seen this year that you never want to see again?
Mine is i probably I Saw The TV Glow.
I was going to say Zone Of Interest but i realized i want to see that again to study the angles and soundscape. 📽

@mattcolville.bsky.social I just finished Big Trouble in Little China for the first time and I'm gobsmacked. It's amazing that it's a real film someone made.

disregarding the public opinion side of things, is there any legal reason Kise/Habba/Trump would be acting like this? Is driving the Judge insane likely to help them appeal at all?

Getting dueling “if you talk about anything but the terrorist murder of innocents, you’re an anti-Semite” vs. “if you talk about anything but the suffering of oppressed Palestinians you’re a racist colonist” and quite frankly I invite these folks to fuck right off.

Best - Adam West. Randomly heard, day of, that he was on campus doing a signing, raced home, got my DVDS of Batman and the Adventures of Adam&Burt, sprinted across campus, made it.

Worst -??? - maybe the one time I met Cody Rhodes. He was great but the picture turned out v bad
Just for fun, name your BEST and WORST celebrity encounter.

I won’t lie, I love to hear these, even when I don’t know the celebrity in question.
