As a practical matter, if you're doing everything you can to ensure that people have unfettered access to murder weapons and then you, yourself, get murdered in the process, how is that any different than being a suicide bomber?

Why does law enforcement keep looking for motives for why mass muderers who buy assault weapons use them to kill people? Wasn't that the motive? Does it really matter what the people murdered were up to? You buy food to eat it. You buy an assault weapon to murder people. Duh. Stop doing that.

It's Memorial Day when we recognize Americans who gave their lives to prevent world domination by fascists. Sounds a bit woke now. Do you suppose the current Congress will repeal it?

How come NO ONE is talking about how so many things we import are made with cheap labor. Bringing the manufacturing to the US will just create a lot of low paying jobs and child labor. It truly is the 19th century.

Watching March Madness. Is it madness because at so many schools (particularly those in former Confederate states) the players are mostly black and the coaches are mostly white?

Those single issue pro Palestinian voters who did not vote for Harris should also thank themselves for the likelihood that if the strip isn't ethnically cleansed by relocation, then Trump may just set off a few tactical nuclear devices in Gaza. That will clear the way for Putin to do it in Ukraine.

It occurs to me that if the federal government will not prosecute crimes committed by people who demonstrate loyalty to the political party in control, then the states may begin to identify such criminals and prosecute them when in their jurisdictions. This will hasten the division of the country.

If we have to call it the Gulf of America, can we change the name of the Caribbean to Floridian while we're at it? And as long as we're bringing back old names like Mount McKinley, can we finally call it 6th Avenue again? And the Sears Tower. (I see you, Aunt Jemima!)

Do you suppose that the burned areas of LA can be rebuilt to current fire and earthquake codes so that when the big one hits all the people who are now providing refuge to those who have been burned out of their homes can then seek refuge in the rebuilt areas?
