it's like this. you get as close to the Thing as you possibly can, get right up alongside It, but you can't touch It in the way others expect you to, you certainly can't capture It (and honestly why would u want to), so at the last second you pivot to unreality, fiction, you fill the space w/story

I actually feel more positive than normal. I'm letting the dog walk at her own pace and sniff for as long as she wants. I have the power to make other lives sweet and safe and full of happy moments.
