I have nothing against Michigan, but as a Chicagoan, I will henceforth be referring to the large body of water between us as Lake Illinois. Because, apparently, we can do that now.

Enjoyed the movie but I’ve heard a lot of criticism of the ending. People feeling it was clumsily thrown in there for shock value. On one side there’s marginalized community feels used as entertainment, on the other side you have right wingers enraged that “everyone is ___” (don’t want to spoil).

It would be so poetic if a crowd of MAGAs, upset at being left out in the cold, breached the Capitol at the inauguration. Would they still be called patriots and good people if it’s Trump and his cronies inside and not Senate and Congress? Would Trump welcome them in after they smash the windows?

And I went to college on a scholarship at a D1 school for a woman’s sport. I know plenty of women who had scary experiences with male coaches, trainers etc. Not one bad experience with a trans person. They’re not your enemy. They’re just trying to survive like the rest of us.

There are 510,000 college athletes. Less than 10 of them are trans. That’s .000019%. Ask yourself why they’re focusing on this so much when it’s just not an issue that actually affects people? What don’t they want you focusing on instead?

She just had a baby a couple days ago. Pretty sure she’s watching from home today. No way they’re bringing a newborn into the arena.

I get that emotions are high, but seriously. Flip a bench or something. Don’t shove a coach. Wasn’t happy that Kelce shoved Reid last year either (may have been less aggressive, but still not okay). You don’t lay hands on coach.

Used to have seats on the glass at Blackhawks games. Can’t count how many times people would put drinks on the edge there and end up wearing them by the end of the night. We always warned people but they never listened, lol.

I think Midwesterners are just built different. I’m in Chicago. My kid headed to Boston for college. He came home for Christmas talking about how everyone in Boston complained about the cold, bundled up in parkas, gloves, hats etc in 30 degree weather while my kid was walking around with no coat.🤷♀️
