Alright. New people seemingly following me out of nowhere in today's influx. Did I get recommended to you? What made you follow me? Inquiring minds want to know!
@mostlybree.kitrocha.com I just saw this and dropped everything to come tell you. Freeze-dried caramelized onion powder. Could be an absolute game changer.

Just a stunning lack of media literacy. The article even calls out that they played American Idiot, a song (and album) in direct response to the Bush administration, and which they've revived as an anthem against the current administration.

I, for one, think it's some bullshit when you finally manage to get to sleep after struggling with it most of the night, and then wake up due to a leg cramp and have to rapidly stand up to fix it.

It's probably a bad sign that I feel tired enough that I had to spend several minutes trying to think of what the word for "systems of ecology" is.

It's "ecosystem" you absolute buffoon. It's literally the combination of the words. Maybe you should try having a body that actually sleeps.

Being in InfoSec is cool as fuck except all the times where it's straight up exhausting.

Father, forgive me for the horrors and blasphemy I have committed using SQL this day.

Tiefling oath of vengeance paladin named Mercy. This will do nicely.

Parenting a 17 year old is exhausting.

Air frying chicken skin until it's crispy, to crush up and use as a topping on the chicken it came from, is some next level shit.

@space-ghost.com will be happy to know I'm finally watching Andor season 2.

Woo, another bad thing today. Washer dumped water all over the floor again. At least we pinned down that it only happens when we're doing a cycle on hot.

Whee, love waking up on a Sunday to find that I've got a failing hard drive. Truly thankful to past-Jayme for intentionally buying spares to do replacements with.

Okay, @vicmmic.bsky.social absolutely *crushed it* in Ponies. What an incredible season. Brilliant writing, acting, everything.

For all my beefs with 5e D&D, legendary and lair actions are cool and flavorful as hell, and turn a single boss with no minions from a standing still slugfest of terrible action economy into an interesting dance with actual trade-offs.

Asked a coworker for feedback for my promo case at work.

Expected a paragraph or two.

Waited two weeks for it.

Got back FIVE PAGES.

I'm not crying, you're crying.

Building spreadsheets to dial in numbers for homebrew D&D rules feels unhinged, but also satisfying, and I'm sure that says a whole lot about my personality and mental state.

I've been running the space heater off and on for 3 days, because it's cold. But also, because I was waiting for my wife to complain that it's too warm, so that I could tell her, "No, actually, it's nice in here," while it was precisely 69 degrees, and just wait for her reaction. Commit to the bit.

Alright, new outlandish D&D question. How do we feel about the idea of a paladin making a temporary alliance with devils to work together to take out a demon-worshipping cult?

Note the distinction of devils vs demons here, it's important in my mind.

Eagerly awaiting casually introducing a goth bard named Gerard Wraith to my players and hearing them groan when they realize they've been listening to a bardcore My Chemical Romance cover for the last few minutes.

Abolish ICE, prosecute and imprison its leaders, impeach and remove the President from office. This is the only sane reaction to a group of armed men kidnapping and gunning down our neighbors in the street.
As tens of thousands across America protest the violence that ICE sows with impunity, federal agents shot and killed another person in Minneapolis today.

ICE terrorizes our cities. ICE puts us all in danger. Abolish ICE.

Rockstar, what in the actual fuck is going on with your sign-in system? In TYOOL 2026, it should not take nearly 10 minutes for a 2FA code to get emailed to someone. That is *wild*.

Does anybody know of an example of a villain who intentionally *tries* to fail? Who's going out of their way to cause their own downfall? I feel like that sounds insane, but I'm cooking here.

Once again I get the reminder that untested backups aren't backups at all. Exciting start to a day.

I reiterate that this is an incredibly tiny thing. But it's something I've been truly stuck on for a very long time, that was bothering me deeply. It's not going to magically make all the other ideas show up on paper, but it's something I can stop thinking about and agonizing over.
Finally, after ~7 years of rattling around an idea in my head, I settled on a name for the BBEG in the D&D campaign I've been trying to put pen to paper on. I know that sounds small, but it has been an absolute bear of a task for me.
