On this day in 2017, #youmeatsix released their fifth studio album, Night People.

Quite simply a stunning album that I love to bits, quite a change from their earlier pop punk sound but wonderful, especially love Heavy Soul & Give.

Reached number 3 in the UK album charts!

On this day in 2017, @riskeeridicule.bsky.social released their second studio album, Blame Culture.

First discovered the band supporting King Blues on tour and loved them. This was fan funded on Kickstarter!

On this day in 1997, #3ColoursRed released the single Nuclear Holiday.

This was the first I heard of the band and loved it so much.

Its bloody superb! It reached number 22 in the UK singles chart!

The third single from Dizzy Heights, it reached number 12 in the UK singles charts.

On this day in 2010, Dear and Departed released the Chapters EP.

I remember first hearing this after seeing them supporting AFI on tour and loving it! Been a fan ever since but sadly they split up in 2012!

Highly recommended listening for fans of AFI!

On this day in 2024 @shedsevenofficial.bsky.social released their sixth studio album, A Matter of Time.

Recorded in Spain, it was their first new album since Instant Pleasures in 2017 and their well deserved first number 1 album, which was followed by their second, Liquid Gold later that year!

On this day in 1998, Faith No More reissued the single Ashes To Ashes.

Taken from their sixth studio album, Album of the Year, it reached number 29 in the UK singles chart this time around, in May it reached number 15.

On this day in 1994, @lagwagon released their second studio album, Trashed on #fat_wreck

Like their debut album, Duh, it was produced by the band and Fat Mike from NOFX

Fantastic album! Released the same day as the likes of Smash, Dookie & Stranger Than Fiction. What a year!

On this day in 2005, The Pink Spiders released their debut album, Hot Pink.

First discovered them after hearing Teenage Graffiti and after struggling to get hold of Hot Pink, finally did in a record store on Ocean Drive in Miami in 2007.

Highly recommended listening!

The second single taken from Jollification, it charted number 23 in the UK but eventually reached number 13!

Released online and on a limited edition vinyl run, it includes the superb songs Starz and Heart Attack Kid.

On this day in 1991, Live released their debut studio album, Mental Jewelry.

They had previously released The Death of a Dictionary under the name Public Affection but this was their first release under the band name 'Live'.

Now there were also two EP's which were really big for me in 2025 too!

@president_band with Kings Of Terrors - This would have been in my top 3 if it was an album, i've really loved it!

Now at number 1 of my top 20 albums of 2025 is...

@TURNSTILEHC with Never Enough.

A band i'd not really heard of much until this year. I heard this album and MY GOODNESS. It changed so much. I still get that warm feeling when I listen to it now as I did the first time.

At number 2 in my top 20 albums of 2025 now and @DeafHavana with We're Never Getting Out.

Now after first listen I didn't massively take, but its really hit home now. Another reinvention from the band but again, it works. Really love Break and Hurts To Be Lonely.

Now at number 3 of my top 20 albums of 2025 is @TheWildhearts with Satanic Rites of The Wildhearts.

The band keeps changing but everytime, they bounce back with another hit! This is great from @GingerWildheart with anthem after anthem! Kunce!
