#AT40 Paul Anka’s Times of Your Life was a song that me and my parents could agree on liking. Many advertisers picked up on this and used in commercials.

#AT40 this Kiss song, I wanna rock and roll, is okay. I understand why it was popular. My hubby loves Kiss. Has seen them 2x in concert. I don’t share the love.

First time I’m able to listen to #AT40 at home instead of when running Saturday errands. Nursing a cold and staying in during the snow and deep freeze in Kansas City. Prayers to our friends in MSP. Horrible!

#AT40 more thoughts. Loaned 2 Steve Miller LPs to a short term boyfriend. He never returned them and I didn’t care. 1974 was a good year. Thank you Jezza! @porpster.bsky.social

#AT40 been out running errands during the show. Trying to listen most of the time. Didn’t remember several of the dirty 30s. Stand outs for me: Mind Games, John Lennon, which never gets old. Mavis Staples (any song she sings is good), Hello it’s Me, wore this Todd R album out.

#AT40 love Sly more now than back then. Anyone see that Summer of Soul documentary? Someone interviewed was saying that all the musical groups dressed in their finest suits and such, and here’s Sly and group dressed in their funky attire. Such trendsetters!

#AT40 Did anyone read the book, Summer of 42? Much better than the movie. I had a different interpretation of it then than I have as the mother of two sons. The song is pretty, though. Sort of haunting.

#AT40 So the song that was played at 1000s of weddings was once a Bank Commercial. We’ve Only Just Begun. I used to work in advertising. Huge deal for the creative team that pitched this!
