trigun max comic, in color, “modern” alternate universe. the comic begins with a peer into the window, seeing the main 4 (vash, meryl, milly, wolfwood) sitting in a circle as someone starts to say, “everyone is here… so… it’s time for our secret santa gift exchange!” it then pans to the inside, showing the main 4 happily react to the announcement, smiling and cheering. on the upper right, a shot is dedicated to the presents, wrapped uniquely by each person. milly then asks, “who wants to go first?!” hands shaking in excitement and wolfwood says, “i’ll go~ this is for you, big girl.” milly exclaims, “whaaa?! you had me?! we went shopping together!” wolfwood smiles smugly in her reaction. “handmade coasters… and gloves to keep yer hands warm,” the gifts are shown alongside the text. milly smiles, “wow… these are beautiful! i love it!! thank you, mr. wolfwood!” at the center, it had panned to vash and meryl going, “ohh, wow!” and then milly hugging a surprised wolfwood tightly. “me next!” milly proclaims. the upper page has a red background and a green letter unraveling behind the panels, blue ribbons on each side. “surprise, ma’am! i know you’ve been eyeing this set for a long time!” at the center, a blue dip pen set is seen, and meryl reacts in awe, looking at the casing with surprise, “m-milly! this set doesn’t come cheap!” milly continues, “i hope this makes you happy. i also wrote you this letter… please read it in private!” milly hands a blushy trembling meryl a letter. a narration text splits this exchange from the next with the words, “so sweet!” now meryl’s turn, she goes “ahem” before presenting with vigor her gift to vash, a red sweater that says “i choose peace” and a donut gift card for $100. “here’s my gift to you, vash! i know it isn’t a lot…” vash beams, “what do you mean? this is plenty..! i can tell, you did your best and put your heart into it… thank you, meryl.” they share a sweet hug, wolfwood and milly can be seen smiling at each other. vash’s hand gifts a snowglobe, the inside vague, and wolfwood receives it. sheepishly, vash says, “sorry, i… ran out of time…” meryl and milly jawsdrop, “whaaaat?!” milly says immediately, “mr. vash! was 2 months too little to prepare?!” vash says, “you sure know how to hurt me, milly.” “you could have even asked me!!” vash, “time slipped me, okay…” meryl comments lightheartedly, “now i don’t feel as bad.” throughout this exchange, wolfwood doesn’t make a notable expression when looking at the snowglobe but he turns it to look at the bottom and starts to blush as he reads it. milly and meryl notices, going “oh?” the broad announcement returns, “that now concludes… our secret santa gift exchange! cheers!” wolfwood, “the cookies should be resdy now.” the rest of them cheers. it pans out to outside the window, snow and figures of the main 4 seen and in a half globe panel, the main 4 happily spending time together is seen, the text reads, “eden is where you exist. happy holidays!”

Day 4 of #WolfwoodWeek ! And my piece for @giftorangezine.bsky.social ! The prompt was "Christmas/Birthday" so I feel that fits with the art for this zine, there's a bit of in-depth commentary in the comments if anyone is curious!
