I have two elderly neighbors that are on disability and EBT.

SNAP (Food Stamps) run out at the end of October. If the government doesn't reopen and pass a budget by then it is assumed that many on SNAP will riot, loot and even kill you for your cart of food.
Do your shopping this week. Don't be out in the stores the day after Halloween.
