If a "patriot" (or someone in the majority) commits an act of heinous violence to scare people, it's a mental health issue.
But if someone from a minority group or radicalised from anti authoritarian leanings commits the same act, then anyone not in the majority can be blamed or smeared as guilty.

Where I live, everybody has a small house out in front of their house to accept commercial offerings and things that require payment...
In other places with more established cultural traditions, they may have a small shrine out front of their dwelling, to pay respects to their ancestors or worship
