When I look at MPG Optimus Prime's long antennas, I immediately associate it with the classic Studio Ox art style that graced Japanese TV magazines in the 80s and was the clear inspiration for the Dreamwave house style

The common premise of the Eldran series was such a strong children targeting. At that age who wouldn't want to imagine piloting a mech that emerges out of your school grounds.

Bought this book while trawling second hand in Osaka. It's interesting to see the evolution of the Dougram's design by Kunio Okawara during conceptualization, makes me wonder if Battletech would've ended up with more Gundam/Zaku like designs if he went down certain paths.
