I attended 2 local author fairs today.

I forgot my tiered book stand, but I think I made it work.

And a great example of what to do when you want to use a real-life setting in your work, but don’t want to actually make it that place.

Just change the name! You will have more creative freedom and less pressure to ensure all the details are accurate.
Kronborg Castle served as the setting for William Shakespeare's play Hamlet. (The play used the anglicised name, Elsinore, which comes from the surrounding town, Helsingør.)

Crown Prince Christian took this photo of Kronborg Castle while flying over during a military exercise.

Since I’m not in the office on the weekends, I always read the Sat/Sun page on Friday.

A little out of date…also questioning why this wasn’t the challenge for last weekend (given Nov 1st was a Saturday).

But for those of your wanting to join in on #NaNoWriMo, I recommend @nano2point0.bsky.social

I am looking forward to this!

It should be great fun for everyone and some interest facts about the Denmark Monarchy 🇩🇰. They have some interesting literary connections.
And for all of you early morning writers, you are in luck! @gertrudedaly.bsky.social will be here Saturday from 5-7 AM Pacific time for a royal-themed Writing Sprints.

When working on a story, I like to look at houses for sale to get a floor plan and some inspiration.

Now, I’m getting calls from a Real Estate Agent in the Netherlands. Opps. 😂

Good advice on Active Voice….
Although, I don’t think the example is the best as the two sentences have slightly different means.

Feel suddenly motivated to dust off the draft of my book on Titles and Succession.

Must consult a manual of style on how to cite a public statement.
Prince Andrew will no longer use his title The Duke of York or subsidiary titles. Or other honors. (While no longer using them, no indication yet he has done the legal steps to remove the titles, he just agreed not to use them.)

He remains Prince Andrew.

Wish me luck! I'm about to do something scary.

I've never done any Global CSS.

Also, for all you @gertsroyals.bsky.social

I adore the badges the @nano2point0.bsky.social team came up with. We have so many talented artists in the #NaNo2point0 team.

The Writer Badges came out today.
I think these 4 describe me.

Before it shut down, #NaNoWriMo offered 100% non-boring creative writing workbooks and curriculum to K-12 classrooms.

NaNo 2.0's resident educator @lambradley.bsky.social preserved and updated all of it, and it's now available for free on our site! nano2.org/posts/2025/i... 📚
