Just read there that Gene are reforming for a one-off gig in October to mark the 30th anniversary of the release of their debut album, Olympian. They wrote some great songs back in the day. Much underrated IMO. Steve Mason's guitar riffs on this are remarkable 👌

I'm not sure which of the two I find more infuriating, Stereo MC's superfluous possessive apostrophe or Dexys Midnight Runners lack of one. Let's take off our rose tinted glasses for a minute and be brutally honest. The 80s and 90s were simply terrible decades for pop grammar.

Just heard a footballer there in all seriousness thank his god for giving him his talent. Not sure about you, but if there is a god I'd much prefer it if (s)he focused more on preventing wars, disease, famines, natural disasters and stuff like that, rather than making people good at kicking a ball
