So far, so good. My neovim setup (lazy vim) is working well. Slowly getting the hang of not using arrow keys to navigate. I don’t find having modes for inserting / editing as jarring as I thought I would. Slowly getting my head around commands. Need to start using find.

VSCode is a fantastic piece of software. However, I grow increasingly wary of software from Big Tech. Today i finally wrangled a neovim config to use as my #python IDE. Gonna be a learning curve, but excited to try.

I have a small project I am working on to learn some new skills. A python app to generate test data. So far learnt modularisation, version control (git), fastAPI. Next up going to learn how to create a docker image and deploy to my pi server. All will probably never be used, but learnt a lot.

Received my stuff from the excellent @pimoroni.com. A pi5 8gb, power supply, and an argon40 one v5 case. I have a nvme drive to go in it. A few chores today, then I shall be putting this together as a mini homelab and teaching myself docker #raspberrypi

Went to my local non league football match today. Wasn’t sure what to expect, but I had nothing better to do. Quality of football was not outstanding. But two goals, 7 yellow cards, a minor scuffle and a sending off! In a strange way culturally fulfilling.
