I calculated the costs of my poetry submissions in 2024. In 2024 I paid $415.73 in submission fees and had 49 poems accepted in 21 different reviews, 6 essays published in three different reviews. This means each publication cost me $7.56. I do feel for young writers trying to establish themselves.
