Systemic racism is hard to accept for those who believe in individual agency. They believe that their privilege is earned. And that being a good person (“I’m not racist”) is sufficient to dismantle racism.

When the Trump government failed to track COVID cases in 2020, Johns Hopkins developed a COVID tracker. If the CDC continues to be muzzled, I hope research institutions will fill the public health void.
