Who else is heading to the #PHPUK conference next week? I'll be there for my first time - looking forward to getting to know some more PHP devs in-person! #php

🎙️ I had a great time giving my first ever talk at a local tech meet-up last night - explaining why #PHP isn't dead and is a great choice for dev projects in 2025! I was pretty nervous in the run-up to the event, but it was alright on the night ☺️. I've already committed to my next talk too!

Having lightly tinkered with it before, I'm finally getting to stuck into building a @filamentphp.com project. Super impressed so far building CRUD tooling. Looking forward to seeing how easy it is to go beyond that. #laravel #php

I need some examples of awesome PHP projects for an upcoming talk. Things that are pushing the boundaries / a little unexpected from PHP. Things that solve interesting problems. Things that have impressive scale. #php

I'm (nervously 😬) giving my first talk at a tech meet-up exactly 2 weeks today. If you're local to #Bournemouth, come along to TechTonic and hear me try to answer the question "Is PHP Dead?". 🎟️ Tickets available here; www.tickettailor.com/events/silic... #php #phpcommunity
Select tickets – Techtonic: PHP in 2025 – Alive and Thriving? – Room BG-110, Bournemouth Gateway Building, Saint Paul's Lane
This month, we’re focusing on PHP: the programming language that’s been powering the web for decades. But is it still relevant ...

Even with a large tech based company shutting up shop and leaving #Bournemouth, and whatever your opinions on their outspoken announcement are, the local dev community is strong 💪
Januarys event is now sold out. Thanks everyone!

Who’s heading to PHP UK next month? Looking at coming along for my first time 💪 #php #phpuk

@markoliver.website I've just came across www.digitalskillshub.org.uk/tech-talks - possibly another candidate for your list of other local events on the @devdottalk.uk site?

📚 I'm looking for some new suggestions for my reading list - physical or digital. Anything PHP / Laravel / Software Architecture / Software Engineering Leadership are particularly welcome - but very keen for some "wildcard" entries too. #php #laravel #softwareengineering #leadership #books #reading

Oh wow, can't wait to try this! 😍 If this is as good as the write-up suggests, this could be a game changing component for us - I'm yet to see a rich editor that ticks all the boxes (performant, customisable, markdown + HTML support & security).
Just shipped my first rich text editor.

I'm super proud of it.

Even if you don't use Flux, taking a peak at the blog post I just wrote up is worth your time: fluxui.dev/blog/2024-11...
