I hate the absurd arguments about PRs not having anything to do with early Hip Hop. That said, when I heard Coke La Rock, the generally accepted 1st rapper, say that he was influenced to rap by Last Poet’s Felipe Luciano’s poem Jibaro My Pretty Ni%%er, that sums it up in a whole new way.

They’re banning TikTok not because it harvests data, the same way US social media does, but because they can’t influence it’s algorithm with congressional hearings or government contracts the way they do every other tech giant. That’s it.
