I sometimes wonder if the only lesson we can take from the rising and falling arc of broad carbon pricing in Canada is don’t make an obvious target of your policy without a tremendous amount of public pre-education. It was just too easy to weaponize by unscrupulous interests.
Today the BC carbon tax has been removed. It's unfortunate that a simple climate policy had become so politicized.
