Let’s stop using the academic terms ‘oligarchy’ and ‘fascism’ loved by the liberal punditocracy and use language people understand. The ‘robber barons’ (Musk, Bezos, et al) are helping ‘dictator’ Trump steal our country and our future. Using precious vocabulary is bringing a knife to a gunfight.

Krugman nails it with his observation that DOGE is just another Trump clown car driven by chief clowns Musk and Ramaswamy. Be concerned, of course, but their key impact will be more MAGA performance politics.
