One word that you only tend to hear at this time of year, and that I'm definitely not fetching down from the attic is "resolutions" (as in New Year's and not as in monitors).

But if I cave in and do fetch it down, I definitely won't next year.

The furthest I ever cycled in one trip was 60 miles. That was on an expensive touring bike. This guy did 763 miles on a wooden bike that he made himself!
