We need immediate action to ensure no-one dies unnecessarily of HIV-related illnesses, when there are drugs that work. It's 2026, not 1986!
🚨Without access to unique life-saving treatment, a small number of people living with #HIV may die unnecessarily. NHS England must respond.

At the ViiV Global Patient Summit, #HIV community activists and leaders chose three areas to work on - HIV policy, involvement in research and quality of life. For QoL, I'm thrilled to say that #PeerSupport was seen as the main priority. Time to connect, share and learn from each other. #FTCLondon
Excited to see the potential for a louder and more visible #GreenParty presence in UK politics under the leadership of @zackpolanski.bsky.social.

In #HIV services in the 80's and 90's we were used to talking about end of life care, but with effective medication we stopped. With an aging population we need to be considering 'advance care plans' again. Great talk at #NHIVNA2025 conference in Leeds

June 5 is HIV Long-Term Survivors Awareness Day, so I'm celebrating the fact that I have now been living with #HIV for 34 years, having been told I'd only live 5. I'm incredibly grateful for 28 years of effective treatment, which means I'm healthy and can't pass on the virus. #HLTSAD #UequalsU

Reassuring data on ways of preventing dementia by addressing risk factors and making lifestyle changes. Physical function and environment are key, as is good quality sleep. #BHIVA25

Though @bhiva.bsky.social has standards for cognitive screening and care, there are huge gaps in assessing and signposting to appropriate care. As people with #HIV age, we must do better. #BHIVA25
