Oh, I have been following. It’s not unexpected BUT it is. I think it’s yet another escalation, for a political assassination to go unremarked. It opens the door wider to a fascist dictatorship and whatever is yet to come.
I’m glad I’m a long way away but I’m distressed on your behalf.

So you want a 100% American workforce, though ultimately you want to replace them with automation, but in the meantime (because that doesn’t exist) you’ll use all the able bodied people mooching around on Medicaid. That process is not set up yet either, but hey, keep deporting the actual workers.

As an Australian, I’m shocked. To not show bipartisan solidarity in the face of the assassination of a sitting member of even a state legislature is unbelievable. Ok, the US has more states than Australia but to not even issue a statement?!! Staggering. Violence is acceptable to him it would seem.

Yeah, as an Australian, this does seem very weird. Some organisations may offer extra health coverage and some private health insurers target particular industries (e.g. Teachers Health) but this is on top of the universal healthcare that everyone is entitled to.

Yeah, they looked blank to me 😅

Obviously you’re very attracted to the idea of power, so maybe you’re one American who is ok with having a dictator running the show. Others may have been complacent pre-election, but they are riled up now because they know what kind of power they DON’T want: a fascist autocrat. That’s worth a rally

Imagine caring about your country so much that you’re willing to speak up if you’re concerned it’s going in the wrong direction. The United States is a democracy. The people are allowed to have a voice and not just at election time. They are allowed to insist the Pres follows the Constitution

I’m so proud of you guys. I’ve lived in a small town so I know it’s harder to do something like this. There’s not the anonymity that city folks can have

Dear US citizens,
Stand strong & fight against tyranny in your country. Kill evil with kindness & integrity. Meet together as normal people who care about your country.
I’m hoping you can do what Germans in the 1930s didn’t: speak up and say “no we won’t”
Love, prayers & solidarity from an Aussie

He stuttered out that bit about small businesses. He doesn’t come across as someone who believes what he’s saying with any strong conviction.

Let me assure you that the majority of Australians don’t cheer on Donald Trump. Even most conservative voters I know, find him appalling.
June 9, 2025 at 9:18 PM
That really has to be one of the most embarrassing things Trump has ever said, and I’m not even American. 🤦‍♀️

Which ones offer solutions?
May 25, 2025 at 11:22 AM
Every Australian (including conservatives) scratch their heads whenever US citizens explain what they think is so bad or dangerous about having universal Medicare. We’re all like “what are you talking about?!”
May 24, 2025 at 10:03 PM
Australian democracy is going well, thanks. Actually, Trump's behaviour turned Aussie voters off our conservative party in the last week's of our election campaign.
But your democracy is worth staying and fighting for, for the sake of the free world everywhere. Stay strong!

I can see you’re relentlessly trying to push your own particular definition of “woke”. You’re right about MAGA being the antithesis. If I have to choose a side, I’m standing with Big Bird, because he’s the epitome of kindness and decency. But then there’s the other side. Why would you choose that?!
May 9, 2025 at 2:47 AM
At first I couldn’t see the problem with this. It sounds too articulate to be written by Trump. And then I got to the Fox bit. For a moment there I thought this person was promoted on the basis of some kind of merit.

Because there is strength in her “weakness”. Passive resistance requires strength of will and she demonstrates anyone can do it. Plus it looks bad on them to drag out grannies.

I like the idea of Westerners who like a Russian style of government to actually move there. Do svidaniya! Farewell!

It’s never too late. Even MAGA devotees need to be allowed to admit they were wrong. This is above politics. The last thing the US needs is for politicians making decisions to protect their own butts. Instead, everyone needs to stand together against a greater threat.
April 8, 2025 at 1:42 PM
I’d be getting some black tape and covering over those bits of the constitution that Trump and co. don’t think matter anymore.
April 8, 2025 at 1:25 PM
This doesn’t even mention his treatment of refugees, especially the Biloela family

So when it happens to Le Pen in France, Musk tweets this:

“When the radical left cannot win in a democratic vote, they abuse the justice system to put their opponents in jail. This is their standard tactic around the world”

but then does this…
Musk goes to Wisconsin bribing Judges and Voters.

They're going after Big Bird again. We ride at dawn.
