After some exciting things taking a lot of time, I finally had the time to publish my newest blog post, in which I discuss the accessibility problems text truncation can create, if it's not done right. I also offer some solutions to these issues.

At #UberMobiConf, Uber engineers shared how their internal crash analytics tool, Healthline, transformed how they detect and resolve app issues.

With Healthline, Uber cut Mean Time to Detect (MTTD) from months to less than 24 hours.

An invaluable O’Reilly report Engineering Reliable Mobile Applications by Google’s SRE team. Discussing these practices with its authors reshaped my approach to scaling, crash-free rollouts & mitigating server-side impacts. A must-read for mobile app scaling:

One Friday evening at a pub, we were venting about work. Coincidentally, all of us were trying to improve app monitoring to fix production issues faster.

That’s when the idea for @measure.sh was born. On Monday, we resigned. 🚀

Recently had an enlightening chat with a Mobile Platform Lead at a major e-commerce company about the challenges of maintaining app reliability at scale. Despite big investments in internal tools, they face a unique dilemma with crash monitoring.

Ever wondered how much that new SDK affects your app's performance? It's trickier than it seems!

We wrote a Python script to benchmark Measure SDK reliably. Check out the technical details on GitHub- github.com/measure-sh/m...

Just discovered someone's been using Measure-and we had no idea!
A dev team frm Portugal is using it to debug issues reported frm Crashlytics & support. They ❤️ how Session Timeline shows CPU/memory usage as users navigate through the app.

Good Morning #AndroidDev!

Last week we realized that Retrofit was slowing down our main thread. Let's talk about it!

It all started with an ANR (see screenshot). You can see we're on the main thread and starting async http request with Retrofit by calling OkHttpCall.enqueue().

After reconnecting with so many accounts I followed on the bird app, it feels like I’ve just returned from a college reunion where I saw countless familiar faces but talked to no one.

Classic introvert vibes.

I spoke to 100+ mobile devs about app monitoring. The pain point? Jumping between tools to find root causes.

So we built Measure—an open-source tool that gives you the full picture in one place.
