As the two were walking toward the building, Sonia eventually broke eye contact with the Pokémon. It was not that she had not enjoyed their moment, she had, but she was also here to take in more of Lumiose’s scenery.

Sonia had to admit it. Looking at the amount of ketchup on Peeks meal, it didn’t look quite as appetizing as it had before. Still, what mattered most was that Peeks was enjoying it, and he clearly was.

Feeling Peek’s tail wrap around her wraist thighter helped calm her down a bit after thinking back on everything. She gave his tail a gentle squeeze, not hard enough to hurt him, but enough to show she appreciated the gesture.

It didn't come to that. There was a local café down the street, with a very vintage, refined look to it, with a couple outdoor tables and seats, for humans and Pokémon alike.

Sonia was glad to hear Ash say that all those people had faced justice, at least if they truly deserved it. She believed in redemption, but only when she was certain someone had genuinely changed. And from the way Ash spoke, she could believe that he had seen it happen.
