ICE shot and killed a woman on camera today. We all saw the video.

The Trump administration is lying.

This is the ICE agent who murdered a woman by shooting her multiple times in the face.

The Drama League of New York is deeply saddened to share the news that our friend and colleague, Associate Artistic Director Nilan, passed away on January 4, 2026. His impact on thousands of artists and audiences through his plays, productions, and performances is incalculable.

Recent Additions, Day 110: George Carlin, Class Clown. When one of your favorite vinyl haunts has this comedy classic in great condition for five bucks, who can say no? The seven you can't say on television are...

Trip Thru The Collection Day 109: Taylor Dayne, Can't Fight Fate. Four MORE Top Ten hits on this sophomore LP, plus an extra club hit "Up All Night." These albums make me wonder what she can't do...she's the 90's Cher. #nowspinning #nowplaying #vinylsky #vinylrecords #musicsky #vinyloftheday #vinyl

Trip Thru The Collection Day 108: Taylor Dayne, Tell It To My Heart. One of the most underrated voices of the 80s. This debut had four (!!) Top 10 hits: "I'll Always Love You," "Prove Your Love", the title track, and my fave "Don't Rush Me." #nowspinning #nowplaying #vinylsky #vinylrecords #vinyl

Trip Thru The Collection, Day 107: Morris Day, Color of Success. Question: when is a Prince album not a Prince album? Answer: when it's by Morris Day. Although His Purpleness isn't on the credits, you can hear his influence on every track. #nowspinning #nowplaying #vinylsky #vinylrecords #musicsky

I feel 2026 is gonna be better. The midterms, where we begin to turn things around, plus the Olympics, World Cup, the Broadway Dreamgirls revival, Survivor50, new LPs from Raye and Jessie Ware, and Mayor @zohrankmamdani.bsky.social. Still war, poverty, and struggle, but I hope we do better in '26.

Trip Thru The Collection Day 106: Miles Davis, Kind of Blue. I've always loved Miles, but just getting around to collecting him on vinyl. So much feeling in his tone! I know I'll be getting Bitches Brew next, but then... suggestions? #nowspinning #nowplaying #vinylsky #vinylrecords #musicsky #vinyl

Trip Thru The Collection Day 105: Terence Trent D'Arby, Neither Fish Nor Flesh. Yesterday I wrote about the joy of TTB's debut LP; his follow-up, sadly, was a miss in almost every way, save for a few retro glimmers like "I'll Be Alright." #nowspinning #nowplaying #vinylsky #vinylrecords #vinyl

Trip Thru The Collection, Day 104: Terrence Trent D'Arby, Introducing The Hardline. Listening to this again is a BLAST...I'd forgotten how great this LP is. An uneven career would follow, but in 1987, we all thought he was the new James Brown. #nowspinning #nowplaying #vinylsky #vinylrecords #vinyl

post a perfect album from the 90s that isn't nirvana, soundgarden, pearl jam, or alice in chains.

Trip Thru The Collection Day 103: Danny Wilson, Bebop Moptop. Tonally expanding on their Scottish pop roots, this disc swings and hits -- "I Was Wrong," "The Ballad of Me and Shirley MacLaine" and more -- as often as it misses. #nowspinning #nowplaying #vinylsky #vinylrecords #musicsky #vinyl

The two parties are not remotely the same, & yet they are covered in our most prominent outlets in exactly opposite proportions to the actual degree of scandal, lawbreaking, authoritarianism, etc. It has been uneven for decades, but it’s reached new levels of farce & obscenity since Trump.

My thoughts exactly.
My curmudgeonly thought for the day: We would not need so many "The ending of blahblahblah EXPLAINED" videos if full-length works of narrative fiction were still routinely taught in grades 5-12. If fairly straightforward plotlines are baffling this many people, something has gone seriously wrong.

Trip Thru The Collection Day 102: Danny Wilson, Meet. This Scottish trio had one worldwide hit ("Mary's Prayer"), but I recommend a deeper dive...the entire album is a breezy delight. "Aberdeen" is a personal fave. #nowspinning #nowplaying #vinylsky #vinylrecords #musicsky #vinyloftheday #vinyl

Trip Thru The Collection Day 101: D'Angelo, Voodoo. My pal Cherrye calls this the greatest album of all time. You agree? D'Angelo's musical ability is certainly singular and satisfying; the album is a majestic listen. #nowspinning #nowplaying #vinylsky #vinylrecords #musicsky #vinyloftheday #vinyl

Trip Thru The Collection Day 100: Miley Cyrus, Something Beautiful. 100 days! Hadn't been a fan, picked this up on a whim, and was pleasantly rewarded. Mature, complex, and surprisingly rich sonically and lyrically. Perfect for vinyl. #nowspinning #nowplaying #vinylsky #vinylrecords #musicsky #vinyl

A reminder that Stephen Miller is a full blown fascist, that 4 of Trump’s 5 kids are children of immigrants, that what he really means is brown people are a problem for him, and that Miller’s own uncle denounced him as a bigot and hypocrite.

Trip Thru The Collection Day 99: Curiosity Killed The Cat, Get Ahead. This underrated #Top25List LP is, for me, a no-skip set of bangers ("Cascade") & ballads ("First Place"). Hard to find on vinyl, but worth picking up if you do. #nowspinning #nowplaying #vinylsky #vinylrecords #musicsky #vinyl

To everyone following the Bari Weiss story and struggling with the question of whether this is rank incompetence or malignity: Doesn't matter, because rank incompetence plus arrogance IS malignity, so even if you give her the benefit of the doubt (btw, there's no reason to), that's where you end up.
