I received my replacement 24ghz transverter from KUHNE returned the non functioning one at Easter,initially they said €300 to fix it .Then they Changed to no it’s under warranty but we will have to build you a new one as we don’t have any stock anyway it’s here free of charge so all ok in the end

Received a 20 + 20 a side slotted waveguide antenna for 10ghz from Bert PE1RKI

Testing some old Gunnplexers, yay, they all work. These transmit above 10GHz, the same range as satellite TV. No, you can't cook anything with them, except for your eyes, if you look directly into the waveguide opening when powered on 😲

Spured on by some emails re 23cms activity on the local Cambridge IO group … i re erected my 36 ele yagi , mast head LNA , 15m of moon coax . GB3PS 25 miles away S9 .. a few calls by me … no replies, bugger all , not a sausage … hearing a few beacons so something to listen to in retirement I guess …

Been starting to do the layout in a box for the 24ghz transverter .. KUHNE transverter and LO, DU3T LNA ,Bodnar GPS module …not sure how good the short sma to sma cables semi rigid will
Perform…but all I have available currently

24ghz preamp just arrived from PA0PLY …can now finish boxing up the 24ghz transverter

Decided to put the 10ghz back on the mast …still haven’t sorted the TX side …hearing GB3CAM over a very obstructed path 549 …no sign of GB3CMS PKT or BED beacons
