Made my own metrics app for macOS and JIRA Service Management (not normal JIRA) that also has a mode for full screen auto-rotating metrics on a wall mountable display, that can be pointed at pretty much any JSM tracker.

Promise this is worth the watch if you are interested in AI. This is one model running on a consumer GPU. It has full duplex audio and can listen and speak at the same time, as well as interrupt you and be interrupted. NVidia PersonaPlex!

I'm not an expert on this but I suppose a small part of how Seeed make stuff so cheaply could be the boards being the same size for lots of different components. Two different MCU/accessory boards pictured.

I was having fun developing with the Claude API. However now it has blocked me until... February. There is no recourse other than to write to their sales team... So if you go this route they might just block you and you are just stuck. I am not really happy about this and might just bin it.

It seems the AI discussion is becoming rather polar of late with not a lot of people in the middle. Which of course it has having become more political. I do have problems with how it will probably be used. But as an engineer I must see where this goes.

Anyone worried/excited about AI being able to design things? Today I made an OpenSCAD Claude integration to the point that it works. This is literally my third test (the second test was the brake disc you see, before a cube).

Hope I can finish the embroidery app over Christmas. For Ghost In The Shell fans, here is another product of its image-to-design workflow in 5 colours. This was the first design off the machine direct from the macOS app to the PP1 after a BIG rework!

Spam accounts with the same pattern of username are getting tedious. I am sort of surprised they are not blocked by bsky, they all have the same pattern of username and behaviour. This problem has grown and it needs dealing with or @bsky.app will end up like Twitter (but without the fash)

When not near 3D printers and main job I have been working on Brother Skitch PP1 support for my app (works, needs finishing touches) and an image to embroidery pipeline. Here is the latter one demonstrated!

An interesting week, a highlight was reverse engineering the Brother Skitch PP1, I now have my own app I can sew existing designs with and do image-to-design workflows. Separately I now seem to be working on better embroidery previews and simulating the threads and overall design in 3D, as pictured.

I don't want a Paypal account as they are a terrible company but I need to use one to access a service. So I register a Paypal account. 2 mins afterwards I am kicked out of the interface and can no longer login as my account is blocked because... who knows why. I still don't want a Paypal account.
