This charming little rattle is sized at 1.25 by 5.5 inches! Crafted by Allan Cusworth, he has completed it with a mineral oil finish.

Allan skillfully employed the "captive ring" technique to form the "rattles" from a single piece of maple wood.

We have two lovely bowls for our Christmas contributions. Dick Penner crafted a traditional 7 x 2.75-inch bowl with an unknown wood, polished with a wipe-on-poly finish. Ron Goertzen offers a 7 x 3-inch maple bowl with a delicate curve, finished with OSMO for a soft luster. Both are stunning gifts.

Mortar & pestles! Bob Long offers a version in Maple, Walnut, and Cherry with a Tung Oil finish; Barry McLean's is Cherry with an Osmo finish. Tom Wilson's Acacia version features an airbrushed green exterior with a wipe-on-poly finish. All are excellent additions.

October is perfect for enjoying delicious food and fall beverages, making it an ideal time for a Presidents Challenge on kitchen gadgets like rolling pins and spoons. Sheila Balzer crafted scoops from Ash & Walnut, and Barry Lyons used Cherry. Both are stunning for any kitchen.
