Agreed. I look at our country daily and I do not recognize what I see. Yes the sun still shines, yes America is still beautiful on the surface but the horrifying undercurrents of privilege and racism are utterly intolerable.
If someone had told me ten years ago that in 2026, there could be evidence of the president raping and threatening to kill children, and he would *still* be allowed to stay in office, I would have politely asked them to put down the meth pipe.

It is absolutely a huge problem. If you follow the ultra rich at all, their latest grift is to live off loans and allow a rising stock market to cover the interest so they live tax free forever. This is likely why Belgium is now going to tax unrealized gains.
