My art with the poem under it, it reads “ In this performance of two, where we stand arms apart. On the stage in front of no one's audience. One step, we close in. Two steps, we fall back. Yet our hands never left one another, refusing to be apart. So we continued this act, this back-and-forth charade. Spinning, swaying, stomping, bending. None of us knew it, or maybe we did. We just didn't want to admit what we could see. But honey, where our feet stand. Don't you know that we are dancing on unstable ground?” The bottom of the photo contains credits to the accounts involved in the collab: the writer, @bord.thoughts; the illustrator, @furansu_illust; and her writing account, @issamei_wrt, all on instagram! A dark silhouette of a male and female figure dancing on an unstable stage, leaning to the left, making the curtains attached to it sway accordingly. The whole stage is supported by just one stack of cracked, uneven rocks, fading into darkness at the bottom.
