Just before Gail's headaches were revealed to be more serious, we attended a dinner held by the Solar Pons society aka the Praed Street Irregulars. After we lost her, Derrick Belanger and others inducted her as an honorary member. To say I was moved barely covers it.

Below is something I got, more by luck than anything else, Dennis Wheatley’s autograph. My few friends know how important his occult works have been since I was young. I’m not sure how I will keep this safe, maybe get it framed (but it’s a bit small). Still, it’s overwhelming to me.

Just passed 20k in the current novel (I'm a slower writer these days). This is literally the opposite to every single book I've ever written. I think I'm doing this for Gail, who was my biggest supporter. She hoped one day I'd be a successful writer. I miss her so much.

Bak Mei aka Pai Mei (White Eyebrows) was a legendary historical Taoist martial artist. Fictionally, he's appeared in many books and movies and was best known when played by Lo Lieh and Gordon Liu. I always found him more interesting than his enemies :)

One of the things I've been thinking about lately. Just a distraction along with Berserk and Tokyo Ghoul. Nothing can come of them, but they do satisfy areas I enjoy.
