It's incredible how much time I have dedicated to competitive high end MMO raiding, while myself barely even having the time to raid anymore.
But I do believe it's an important part of FFXIV. Without it, I really don't know where this game would be.

Third time's the /charm! Pardon our Firmament dust as we get the website updated for year 3.0 happening on October 17 & 18, 2026 back at the St. Charles Convention Center! As mentioned prior, we'll be using only the lower level this time as we find our break even point. More news to come!

Last night I picked up my cat from the emergency vet (he swiped one of my dogs pain meds from his bowl which we found out is extremely toxic), total vet bill was $4000. He seems to be okay, but when he got home the vet said to unwrap his IV bandage. That was a mistake - TW: Blood

Guys sorry I've been pretty unresponsive. A lot of life stuff has come up to manage and any free time is immediately sunk into redoing the MogTalk website to try to have phase 1 beta ready by the time the world race starts.

I keep thinking "what if I program myself into a hole" - but honestly it is probably more important to make something, and figure it out later instead of freezing up on making the "best" decision.
Even if you have to fix something, at least you have something in the first place.

Programming is hard. I write some code, feel good about it, then while writing some more code realize what I wrote before doesn't work anymore and have to rewrite it. It's such a vicious loop. Every big progress step turns into a small step.

If you can't figure that out, you may lose all creativity and find yourself in a depressing inescapable spiral of chasing the bag.

Most of the people who give me energy and help me stay positive you'll never know. There's a lot of really awesome people and most of them aren't on social media front page.
Without them, I would have stopped long ago. I'm sure you have people like that too, appreciate them.
