I'm in @resonite.com right now and I just watched two people glue themselves together with the mesh bake tool and then work out how to separate themselves again.

Our users have most unique way to have fun x3

I've hit another milestone with the Unity SDK for @resonite.com! The system for converting @unity.com components has become functional!

It's super easy to extend too - just declare a converter class with conversion code and it'll pick it up automatically.

I wonder if this is a side effect of this being forced into 2D space. It pulls some related things apart, because they're also related to other things that get in between?
February 13, 2026 at 4:23 AM
Ah I see. Yeah, it's a tricky one. I do feel a lot of responsibility towards the space myself, which is part of why I push myself to do as much as I can.

There is a good chunk of users who tell me to go at my own pace and relax. But my brain is stupid and focuses on those who don't.
February 13, 2026 at 4:23 AM
That's true!

I feel the more worn out, the more "mechanical" my thinking and problem solving abilities become.

I see less of the bigger picture and can only work on problems that don't require much creativity to solve, but ones that I can do more on autopilot.
February 13, 2026 at 4:21 AM
For me, I never found VR itself too isolating. Most of friendships and interactions I have are through VR, I kinda live a good chunk of my life through it.

Though I don't play competitive games, mostly just hanging out and doing things together in Resonite.

And it sucks. It's a lose-lose scenario.

And it feels the only way to fix it is just... get out completely. But that's also not a realistic option or one I'd want to take, so I'm stuck.
February 13, 2026 at 3:18 AM
And it worked for a while. But it ended wearing me out and dropping my efficiency a lot. So I needed to start taking time off.

But people *really* hate the fact that I don't have the time for some things now and that they're taking longer. Some even call us lazy, because of it.
February 13, 2026 at 3:18 AM
One thing that keeps sucking energy out of me is that I have to constantly defend my free time. I always feel so guilty about it, because there's so many things I don't have time for that I need to do.

I used to just sacrifice most of my free time to make more time for work things.

For a while, we fell into "let's wait until things are all fixed before we market" hole for @resonite.com. But you have to keep promoting the platform before then, because there will never be a point where all is fixed.

Yeah I feel that. We run into this a fair bit. Some of our team went to CES to promote Resonite and a lot of it was just "AI AI AI AI". It's what everyone wanted to talk about.

There's a strong pull towards whatever the "trend" is for companies if they want to succeed (at least short term).
February 12, 2026 at 7:52 PM
Yeah :( One thing I've come to realize over time is that there will be always more things to do than we can really realistically handle.

I don't think it's something that can be fixed, just something that we need to accept and not let it detract from things that were done.
February 12, 2026 at 12:59 AM
Taking breaks is good!

But I know the feeling :( Every time I try to take time off, I think of all the people upset that we're not making more progress and doing more stuff and it makes it really hard.

I think it's important to have balance.

Like myself I've been trying to make steps to refocus more on positive things to balance the doom and gloom of things.

And I've been noticing it in a lot of places, how things are kinda "skewed" to draw focus on the negative.
February 11, 2026 at 9:42 PM
Yeah pretty much.

I think we see it in other forms too. E.g. in research, novel studies are much more preferred than replication studies.

It's not as exciting to publish a study that's essentially "Yup, we got same results as those guys", even though it's very important to do.

I feel like things burning and exploding are a lot more interesting, rather than things going okay and that kinda shapes the news, social media and how we think about things.

I also wonder how much does this shape our thinking about the world and things going on? Does it skew perception of reality?
February 11, 2026 at 9:08 PM
One thing I sometimes think about during the explosion with previous project, so many people wanted to talk to me to make video/news about it.

But a lot fewer were/are interested when we launched a new project and kept it sustainable for a few years now.

Did you know you can customize quick access to any setting or other modular UI in @resonite.com?

Facet Anchors are probably one of the most convenient and powerful UI features that not enough people are using!
