Read between the seams Of a doll's locked lips You're supposed to know better Than anyone Why did you risk that? YOU BEAT ME WHEN I CRIED So I would know How to stop the tears that flowed You wrapped your hands around my throat So I would know Death is a double sided coin of Punishment and escape You told me I was weak So I would know I forever belonged at your feet But when I ran away You said you saw my strength The words a was always Waiting for Patiently Wanting Needing More than air Compressing my lungs To beat my heart into place I came back to you with my shackles And you secured me Chain clattering Bleeding my wrists again Only a smile from me Look in the mirror And see A stronger me A me in chains I'm not strong And I'm not weak Life is not dichotomous Like vou always seemed to preach You had me for a moment Then I found my feet I knew I closed my own cage But I didn't seal my fate A door opened once, Can be opened again And that's the path I chose Is it strength or is it weakness? THE TEMPTATION CLUNG TO ME Like condensation on a glass Humidity overbearing But relief too much to ask I felt that pounding of your heart Beautifully in line with mine Realizing your plea Of course I had to take that dive Gently plunging, wading, and wondering Every act a gift A slow unwrap Swimming in the night Before I could only act But I found the shoe that fit A guiding hand that would caress And never harm A safe and soft warm body, That could melt my frozen heart Serana @fromthefairycircle

THE WEDDING BELLS I heard them everyday Ringing eternity My mother told me firmly I would lie with man I cried then accepted And crafted a careful plan The Wedding Bells Rang through my skull I promised him When I was not yet old My hand in shackles I promised him My hand dipped in filigree Never again to be free Wedding Veils Is all I knew For years it's all I could do Be a Bride Be a Wife Be a Woman And be a Prize Lie with man Lie all the time Lie until you're in the firmament Lie until you're in the sediment Wedding Bells Wedding Hells He knew I was Wrong Did it make him feel Inflated When he knew We could never sing the same song?
