It has been pointed out by people more informed than I that the FBI raid on Polymarket, a US website owned by Peter Thiel (the billionaire sponsor of JD Vance), was related to $3.7-billion dollars in money bet on the election. Someone who knew the exact results ahead of time could become very rich.

The sheer quantity of news reports of hostile actions by Russia (election tampering in Georgia, cutting undersea cables, etc) and news of their financial failure (major slide in the Ruble), suggests to me that the world is finally getting sick of them. I'm hoping to see that reflected in the USA.

Russia has been meddling in foreign media and elections for decades now, but it occurs to me how poetically insidious Russia has been.
They influence the media with bot armies, making freedom of speech into a weakness. They manipulate elections via hacking and cronies, attacking democracy itself.
