Ugh. I’m not seeing much generative art in my feed, so I searched for the hashtag and all I got back was AI and most of it was really, really bad. Where are my artist coders at?

In Canada we did the same. Made the former Toronto Chief of Police a Member of Parliament. For the Liberal Party 🙄. Can’t make this stuff up.

Hey friends. Is video uploading broken on Bluesky? I keep trying and it doesn’t even look as if it makes any attempt. Just hangs. Am I doing it wrong? These are originally screen recordings from a Mac and I’m trying to upload from my iPhone. My network is fine AFAIK since everything else works.

It was anti-competitive regulations that killed it. The auto industry making sure it was illegal to drive them on the roads, and the sidewalks were already off-limits to vehicles (obnoxious cyclists notwithstanding). They still make them, but you can only ride them indoors or on private property.

I don’t have any work of my own to post, but Inner Forms by Ty Vek is amazing. This is 4 generations of an open form “lineage”. The artist really nailed this concept.

Carney seems to be a “true believer” as evidenced by the fact we even *have* an “AI Minister”. I agreed with the previous government’s support for a center of excellence in AI. It worked. But using AI unwisely in government is going to burn us all.
