PNW Chapter's meeting in Boise, ID was a success with 97 attendees, including 26 students. The meeting featured sessions on big data, eDNA, intermittent streams, fish brains, beaver and beaver dam analogs, and anurans as well as a poster session and macroinvertebrate taxonomy workshop (1/2).

The EPA has announced changes to the definition of Waters of the U.S. that leave critical systems supporting drinking water, floodwater storage, and biodiversity unprotected. Public comments on the changes are open until January 5, 2026.
