Interestingly, the top three overperformances in specials this year have all been in Iowa. A possible clue as to why GOP Gov. Kim Reynolds unexpectedly announced her retirement earlier this month.
Check this out: The overperformance by Angel Ramirez in Iowa's #HD78 last night was the *biggest* by a Democrat in 19 special elections this year—26 points.
