The fact microsoft have acknowledged and fixed this feels like vindication. I didn't realise it'd been a known issue since 2021 thought 💀
Not once has "update and shut down" EVER resulted in my pc being off. Windows 11 is shit in a lot of ways, but christ is that one annoying. Just do what the damn button said! It's one of the TWO options that YOU gave me!!!

This seems to be an emerging trend. I suspect the proliferation of AI generated thumbnails ripping off styles like mine may have devalued cartoons on the homepage, while photos inspire confidence that the content is real, and not slop. Just a theory though atm
It seems that my cartoon style thumbnails are falling out of favour, losing tests to photo based thumbnails instead. Here's the most recent retired cartoon
