If you really think about it. The first ever zenkai boost was all the way back in og Dragon Ball. When Goku drank Korrin's sacred water. He was able to survive the poisoning and get stronger from it. Tell me that's not a zenkai boost, I dare you. I know Saiyans didn't exist back then but yeah...
