Most services say 'we can't read your data' and leave it at that. We wrote up exactly what Trustbourne can and can't see in each encryption mode — and why we offer both. trustbourne.com/blog/how-we...
How we encrypt your vault (and what we can and can't see) — Trustbourne
Every file is encrypted in your browser before it reaches our servers. Here's how both encryption modes work, what the tradeoffs are, and why we're honest about them.

December 30, 2025 at 2:37 PM
Sure.
December 30, 2025 at 1:40 PM
lol?
December 30, 2025 at 1:06 PM
December 30, 2025 at 12:49 PM
Huh? Er zijn tegenwoordig een pak “kleine” EVs. Ook in Europese merken.
December 30, 2025 at 11:46 AM
December 30, 2025 at 11:20 AM

First Trustbourne dev update sent. Foundation's done: authentication, 2FA, 177 tests passing. The boring stuff that has to be right.
Next: the vault.

2/2 in the least secure mode, the encryption key will be derived from the password. We'll have a middle mode where the files are encrypted using a key we don't have, but the metadata (eg filenames) aren't. The user could put "hints" to where to find the key in the filename.
December 8, 2025 at 1:46 PM
We have multiple modes of encryption, depending on the risk the user is willing to take. In the most secure mode, we'll tress the recipients should either have a copy of the key, or other means are needed to pass the key "when needed". 1/2

I am often asked to provide a second opinion on pentest reports. It was one of those days again. I nearly wrote "If the pentester disagrees these are all bogus, I encourage them to contact CloudFlare, Vanta and Framer and collect a huge bug bounty".
